It Takes a Village

At the Neighborhood Alchemist Project, we believe that strong communities are built by informed, engaged and active citizens; starting with our youth. As a 501c3 nonprofit rooted in neighborhoods we serve, we are committed to giving back and empowering young leaders to do the same.

Our youth are not just participants, they are contributors. Through service-learning opportunities, participants volunteer in their local communities, gaining real world experience and a deeper understanding of social responsibility. Each year, Youth Leaders are expected to collaborate and lead at least one volunteer initiative, building teamwork and leadership skills while making a meaningful impact.

We prioritize Civic Leadership. Participants stay informed about local and national political issues, attend community meetings and engage directly with elected officials. From visiting the State Capitol in Carson City and Clark County Government Center to traveling to Washington D.C., our youth gain firsthand insight into how government works and how their voices matter.

This deep level of community and civic engagement ensures our students grow into not only strong leaders, but also active, informed citizens who understand the power of collective action and civic responsibility.
